Do I have to purchase tickets in advance? Can I pay with cash?Yes, tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased on this site, or by calling us locally at 707-385-9811.
We want to accommodate your request and will try our best to do so, but to maximize your chances of getting the day and time you prefer, we suggest that you book in advance.
If a tour is sold out can I get on a waiting list?Give us a call at 707-385-9811. If a date is sold out, we may be able to open a few additional spots but that will depend on a number of factors. Please contact us to let us know what date you are interested in.Can I book a private group tour?Yes, Savor Healdsburg Private Group Tours are available for all tours offered. To set up or learn more, please visit our Private Group Tours page and submit a Private Group Tour Request Form. A member of Savor Healdsburg’s Food staff will respond within 24 hours.Do we only walk around and sample food?Absolutely not! Savor Healdsburg Food Tours combines architectural commentary, history, local culture and culinary insight into a unique 3.5 hour progressive dining experience. Imagine walking through Healdsburg and eating our local artisans most delicious foods while learning all about the fascinating history, famous wine region, and getting tips on all the “must dos” while visitingWhat about taking children/adolescents on the tour?Our food tasting and cultural walking tour was developed with food, wine, and history lovers in mind. We do not offer a child ticket and find that the link of the tours may not be appropriate for all children/youth. Parents, who know their children best, should assess the situation individually and decide whether the tour is appropriate for your child. Please note that infants or small children who will not be participating in the food tastings do not need a ticket, but please let us know they will be attending with you by including a “Message to the Seller” when purchasing your tickets.Are tours given in bad weather?All of our tours are typically held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will be able to go inside many of the establishments on the tour. We will not be outside for the entire 3 plus hours. You should still dress appropriately for the day’s weather conditions. Before purchasing tickets please be aware of the possible weather conditions for that time of year.Can I shop on the tour?We ask that you wait to shop until after the tour so that we can stay on schedule and continue with the tour and food tastings in a timely manner. We suggest you allow time at the end of the tour to return to your favorite locations and/or stores.How should I dress during a tour?We recommend casual, comfortable, weather-appropriate attire.How much walking is involved? Is it a fast-paced tour?We are on our feet for approximately 1 1/2 -2 hours. We cover a lot of information and ground so we do walk at a moderate pace. There are many opportunities to sit down throughout the tour. Please wear comfortable shoes.Are tour guide gratuities included in the price?Savor Healdsburg does not include gratuities in the cost of our tour. Gratuities are greatly appreciated, although not mandatory.How much food is served on the tours?There are 5-6 stops on our progressive dining tours. For most people there is enough food for lunch or meal.Are tours offered only in English?Yes, we are only able to offer tours in English at this time. If you would like to make arrangements for your own interpreter to join the tour, please contact us.Are there any beverages served on the tour?Four of our tastings do include a beverage, including wine/ alcoholic beverage tasting for those 21 and older. We do however encourage participants to bring along a bottle of water and don’t forget to bring your ID in order to participate in the alcohol tasting. Please notify us when purchasing your ticket if yourself or members of your party are not 21 or you would prefer an alternative to the alcoholic beverage tasting.Are cameras allowed on the tour?Yes. Cameras are allowed during the tour. We encourage participants to take photos during the tour.Does this tour have anything to offer a native of Healdsburg?Absolutely! We strongly encourage locals to attend and learn a little more about this what makes Healdsburg a hot spot destination around the globe. Or just come and enjoy some amazing bites from a few favorite restaurants in a new and unique way.Are gift certificates available?Yes, Savor Healdsburg Food Tours Gift Certificates are available for all tours offered. To purchase or learn more about our gift certificates, please visit our Gift Certificates page and submit a Gift Certificates Request Form. A member of our staff will respond with payment and further instructions.Is there parking nearby the tour meeting point?Yes, there is parking located near the meeting point. Specific parking details are included in the meeting location directions provided after purchasing ticket(s).Are bathrooms available during the tour?Yes, bathrooms are available during the tour at select food-tasting locationsWhat if I have dietary restrictions?At this time necessary accommodations can be made for vegetarians and several of our tastings are vegetarian friendly,but not all. We ask that you notify us when purchasing your tickets if you are a vegetarian. We will do our best to make food substitutions for those with food allergies (such as nuts, shell fish or dairy free) but substitutions may not be available at all tasting locations. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Please note, not all of our tastings include things with dairy or wheat in them and you are still welcome to take the tour, we just ask that you refrain from those tastings that do.Are tours pet friendly?We love pets, but due to the various food establishments we visit, unfortunately pets are not allowed on this tourDo I need to purchase a ticket if I’m not eating?Yes, all guests must purchase a ticket whether they partake in the tastings or not. Non-paying individuals will not be able to join the tour. The ticket fees help cover the costs of all tastings and server gratuities and also to pay for your tour guide(s) wages, whom are providing valuable commentary on culture, history, and culinary information during the 3+hour tour. -
